Joseph Gallagher

Joseph GallagherJoe Gallagher was named Vice-President of Multi-Media Sales for The Wall Street Journal in September of 2007. He is responsible for managing all advertising efforts for The Journal franchise including print and digital sales for the New York region, the Southeast U.S. and Latin America. Additionally, he manages the Classified sales teams for The Wall Street Journal, both print and online, on a global basis.

Gallagher joined Dow Jones in October of 2006 as National Sales Director for Dow Jones’ online division from Tribune Company, where he was National Sales Director for Tribune Interactive.

Prior to Tribune, Gallagher worked for Real Media in New York, where he was National Sales Director. He began his sales career in 1987 at Mega Advertising, the cable interconnect in Washington, DC and a subsidiary of Media General, Inc.

Born in Binghamton, NY, Gallagher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law Studies from Marquette University. He is a founding member of 212, New York’s Interactive Advertising Association and a proud member of the OPA, the Online Publishers Association. He resides in Fair Haven, NJ with his wife and three children and enjoys the best commute into NYC that anyone could have – he takes a boat.
